Merry Christmas!

Our first Christmas with Alexis was wonderful, being parents on Christmas morning is a lot more exciting.  We are very lucky to have such a great family that we were able to spend the holiday with, Lexie has a lot of people that love her!

On Christmas Eve after Alexis had her bath and was in her Christmas pj's we read The Night Before Christmas, Nonnie, Aunt Shelli, GG and Great Aunt Sherri made her one of those recordable books, she's mesmerized and can't figure out where the voices that she recognizes are coming from.

 That afternoon we went to see "Grandma" Nancy, "Grandpa" Scott and "Uncle" Kyle and of course they had a few presents for Lexie to open.

Tired after all the excitment

 Christmas morning Lexie woke up at 5:30 (much earlier than normal), we convinced her to go back to sleep but only for 45 min, by 6:15 she was talking and squealing in her bed and ready to get up.  After her bottle we brought her to the Christmas tree where LuLu the Ladybug was waiting on her from Santa!  Santa brought a few other toys too. :)

Christmas afternoon we went to Nonnies house to celebrate, Nonnie and Aunt Shelli spoiled her.  She had fun meeting a few cousins and step aunts and uncles for the first time.  It was a house full of kids and a really good time.  We were having such a good time and with all the people I forgot to take many pictures. :(  Here are a couple from when we first got there.

Sunday we went to see the VanGordon side of the family.  Guess who got more presents? :)  Great Grandma got her her first car!  Lexie just wanted to eat the bows on the presents, she didn't really get into opening the gifts so Mom had to help out but once the toys were open she was all smiles testing them out.  We had a great time and since we didn't have to work in the morning we were able to stay late into the night playing games.

Lexie was spoiled this Christmas!  She got more toys than a 7 month old knows what to do with (and more than Mommy knows where to put away, time to reorganize!).  She now has her first car, laptop, purse and piano, she's ready to take on the world!  We still have Christmas with Daddy's family on Thursday so I'm sure there is another present in her future.  Here are a few pictures of her enjoying all her new goodies!
