First Day of Preschool!
Here is our big girl on her first day of beginner preschool! Her teacher is the same that she's had watching her all summer at daycare so they are good friends. At least a couple nights a week we bribe to her go to bed by promising in the morning she'll get to wake up and go see Miss Chelsea!
I love Miss Chelsea too! She works hard to come up with fun learning projects the kids can do. And she loves and spoils my kid so what more can I ask for. :)
Each week they focus on a new shape, letter, number and color. They are also learning about a new bible character every week. We've been working on colors, counting and singing abc's for a while so she has those down but the rest is new to her. We just finished week three and I've already noticed how much she's learned.

Waiting for "MY BABY COUSIN"
Alexis doesn't stop talking about her baby cousin and how she is going to hold and kiss her. Everytime she sees Aunt Shelli she hugs and kisses her baby cousin. She refers to her as "MY baby cousin," if you explain that Shelli and Justin are going to be her Mommy and Daddy she corrects you and says "no, she's my baby cousin." :)

Miss Kendall Arrives!
Kendall Coburn finally made her debut early in the morning on Sept. 13th. She had to be rushed up to NICU because she was born with pnemonia but thankfully with many wishes and prayers she was able to come home one week later with a clear bill of health. It was a long first week for the whole family but especially my sister and bro in-law. I can't imagine having my little girl taken away before I even get to hold her and not knowing what was wrong. Then to see her with all the tubes and wires. It's incredible the strength that Shelli, Justin and Kendall showed in that first week.
Since Kendall was in NICU Lexie wasn't able to see her until she came home on the 21st. Oh my goodness that love that she showed to her new baby cousin was incredible to see. She immediately gave her a kiss on the lips and everytime Kendall cries she says "it's ok" and kisses her again. So sweet!

Kendall's Home!
These are the pictures of the first time Lexie got to see, kiss and hold her baby cousin. One of the sweetest things I've ever seen! We were all close to tears watching Alexis love her.

It's Fall!
Our annual pioneer festival outing was this past weekend. This year instead of buying a bunch of pumpkins and gourds at the festival my mom decided to plant some in the garden. It paid off! Check out the hundreds of gourds that we got! We didn't have to buy any and there are still a bunch on the picnic table that we don't know what to do with!
At the festival Alexis got her face painted and made a candle.

Personality and Milestones:
- She has her 2 year molars in on the bottom, we are still waiting for the top ones
- Her vocabulary is expanding at a crazy rate!
- Her latest phrase is "oh my goodness"
- We started a music class last night and it was a big hit! We were singing, dancing and playing instruments the whole time (parents had to enthusiastically partcipate as well :)).
- Each week is a new level of independence for Alexis, whether it's learning how to open a door, putting on her own pants or putting her toothpaste on the brush all by herself. She keeps insisting on trying new things and I try to let her as much as possible. She also gets frustrated so easily if something doesn't work the way she thinks it should. Patience and perserverance is something we are working on.
- She is also learning the rules of driving and understands what stop signs mean and that you go on green, stop on red. She call you out too if she thinks you're doing it wrong, such as turning right on red or waiting for the green arrow to turn left. :)
- Some of my favorite moments:
- Random hugs and kisses - she just walks up and hugs your legs
- Wowzer hugs and kisses! - these are usually saved for when we are leaving or its time to go to bed but she grabs your head with her hands and gives really BIG kisses!
- She loves whispering her our ears "I love you SOOOO much" It's sweet to watch and recieve :)
- Every afternoon when I pick her up from daycare as soon as she sees me she yells "MOMMY!" and comes running full speed to jump in my arms. This is definitely the best part of my day!
- She tells her baby dolls that they are beautiful..... she also tells the food in the snack cabinet that it's beautiful... who knows :)
